Some of Sam Taylor-Wood's elegantly posed self portraits in her studio
"Moving into my studio I felt a wonderful sense of release and relief at having a space of my own. It was as though I could think, breathe and work and not feel like I was escaping or performing, which is how I felt in previous studios. I think this work reflects that, and was the starting-point for the portraits. I hired a bondage expert to tie me up and make me into different shapes. So I was in my studio in these twisted and contorted shapes."
