Guy Bourdin (1928-1991) was an iconic french fashion photographer. Man Ray was his mentor. His worked for Vogue Paris and Harpers Bazaar as well as did major ad campaigns for many designers. He is known as the first photographer to play with complex narrative in fashion. He exceeded the conventional forms of advertising in provocative and often shocking ways.
