Patterson, Christian

for tagger:
the last picture reminded me of your still life

Quinlan, Eileen

robert frank

i saw his show in new york last fall and was genuinely moved by the entire exhibition, especially the contact sheets. to see his thought process, trials and errors, for photographs that turned out to be classic in the lineage of photography's existence grounded my understanding of why i chose to study this instead of anything else.

Philip-Lorca diCorcia

Some of my favorites.

Mona Kuhn

Michael's recommendation.
I indeed see the similarities.
But I don't think you're aloud to wear clothes in her photos.

Sarah Moon: for Andrew

These are for Andrew. I think you might like her work. She is a French fashion photographer and these are some of her fashion polaroids.

Wolfgang Tillmans(German, born 1968) This guy's work is highly conceptual, and the shit tons of images he has generated throughout his career work altogether like stars of different constellations. In this sense, his work as a whole has a different direction from your thing, Lauren, but some of this German artist's abstraction seem very relevant for you to check out. Because they are definitely emotive, too.

i don't want to get over you, 2000.

Starstruck #3, 2000.

it's only love give it away, 2005
