LaChapelle is mainly a celebrity photographer but he shoots more than just the hollywood broads and TV stars. His images are inspirational if not sometimes disturbing/humorous and show modern culture in its true light, instead of the glossy, idealized portrayal seen in TV and magazines. I admire his use of the gender bending, self proclaimed world's most famous transexual, Amanda Lepore, as his inspirational muse.
