The "New Topographics" show was curated by William Jenkins in 1975 and drastically altered the climate for contemporary photography. It featured artists Robert Adams, Lewis Blatz, Joe Deal, Frank Gohlke, Nicholas Nixon, John Schott, Stephen Shore, and Henry Wessel, Jr. The show was one of the most influential photography exhibitions of the medium's history.
