I stumbled across this in an internet search, I couldn't find anything else by the artist but I think it's beautiful:
Photograph. Collodion on glass, glass plate negative. N. S. Maskelyne. Moon photograph transparency. 27th December 1857. Shot through Warren de la Rue’s telescope at Hounslow Middlesex. Taken at 5.55, 12 seconds exposure. Negative sent for enlargement to Thereza (Llewelyn) about 1:1 inch.
