Matthew Monteith's Art School

Michael mentioned Matthew Monteith's project Czech Eden on Wednesday, but I wanted to share with you another series of his, Art School, where he gets all meta, on photography itself, and on photography school (woah, you say). I assume he shot it at Yale while working on his MFA.

This is a bit small here, but this guy is seen reading Stephen Shore's Uncommon Places - I love a good photography in-crowd shout-out as much as the next person.

I have no idea what he's shooting but this so makes me want to put a 4x5 up a giant pole.

Speaking of shout-outs, and Bard College faculty, Tim Davis writes another awesome essay about Monteith's work, which you absolutely must read here.
