i saw his show in new york last fall and was genuinely moved by the entire exhibition, especially the contact sheets. to see his thought process, trials and errors, for photographs that turned out to be classic in the lineage of photography's existence grounded my understanding of why i chose to study this instead of anything else.

Wolfgang Tillmans(German, born 1968) This guy's work is highly conceptual, and the shit tons of images he has generated throughout his career work altogether like stars of different constellations. In this sense, his work as a whole has a different direction from your thing, Lauren, but some of this German artist's abstraction seem very relevant for you to check out. Because they are definitely emotive, too.
